Pain script?
Can my doctor prescibe me more vicodin early? I hold been on 2/day(30 time script) for a few months and now have a flare up. He told me I can use 3/day for the next 7 days. That will enjoy me run out before my 30 days is up. Wonder if he can write again 7 days untimely for the next refil. Is this in his legal power? Since its controlled substance and he set the script(60 pills) for 1 pill 2 times day by day which should last 30 days. How does this work?
Thanks
Answer: It's amazing the amount of false information to be exact posted here... Anyway, yes your doctor can prescribe you more medication if needed. As long as you are following his instructions he is legally competent to presribe more for you. The only snafu you may hit is next to your insurance company. Some insurance companies put a limit on your anguish scripts in a month, but thats unanimously when prescriptions are in excess of 120 pills or so a month. I hope this be helpful. Good Luck!
Since he's the one who changed the number of pills you should pocket per day, he is competent to write you another script to cover what he prescribed.
If you are counting how many vicodin you want for the next 7 days, I would suggest stop taking them. They are significantly addictive. No the doc can't write a prescription early. If he know what he is doing, he'll stop prescribing them to you.
