I = Ice pack (wrap towel to prevent freeze burn)
reduces swelling & throbbing
C = Compression (bandage supports ligaments or
small socks)

You need to save putting ice on it and try to meander around to much on that ankle. The ice help keep the swelling down. I'm sure i.e. what the doctor said.
Stay home, sit on the couch with your leg elevated, apply rime for 20 minutes on and 1 hour off, and run ibuprofen or alleve to reduce swelling and acetaminophen for dull pain. A good video or book might also serve.
You should have your foot up.similar to sit on the couch with your leg up on the couch too.
Put an rime pack on it for about 15-20 minutes respectively hour for the swelling.
Keep taking the tylenol or whatever med Doc said.
