Will my fingernail come sour?
i wk on a disabled bus and one of the kids scratched my hand badly- on my index finger it go septic right near my nail- get penicillan for it BUT my nails in a minute chipping by the cuticle- is it going to come off- thought of it is freaking me out!!
Answer: The right answer to this is "it depends"! Nails fall rotten if there have been trauma to the pin bed -the part of the staple just below the skin from where on earth the nail grows. The staple falls off because in that is a break in the continuity within the nail and the not long formed nail periphery pushes the traumatised nail out. The staple will usually grow back fully and in general over a few months, depending on age and other factors. Don't be freaked out...you'll be fine!
If here is a blood clot under a staple, it will eventually force the nail to spatter off. I've see people drill a hole through the pin, to let the blood out and that will amass the nail.
Keep contained by mind that either method, the nail grows rear.
If it turned black it might fall stale, or if it looks like it is lifting from the fastener bed. Having a fingernail or toenail fall past its sell-by date doesn't usually hurt, you may however have to put a band-aid over it until the pin starts to grow back to protect the exposed finger.
