If you hold gotten a cortisone injection that didn't work did the Dr. prescribe a second now?
I received my first injection in right hip concluding Tuesday. My pain continues (a week later) to be worse in a minute then it be prior to the shot, despite me reducing my activities. The nurse I spoke beside on the phone said that sometimes it takes a second injection beforehand you start to feel a difference. I will be seeing my doctor again subsequent week but was wondering if anyone have received multiple injections in duplicate site before seeing nouns.
Answer: As a Pain Management patient and Medical Assistant I can assure you that more than one shot surrounded by the same location is reasonably normal. Many patients enjoy up to 3 shots done before getting the nouns they are seeking. Keep the lines of communication open near your doctor cortisone shots are not the end of the vein if you're still experience pain but furnish them at least an extra shot (no pun intended!)
I needed two shots of cortisone before my knees felt fully clad. And this is after I scope surgery. The doctor will probably recommend another shot. I hope this help. Remember, rest and ice after the shot.
Yes. I own a spine injury and have have plenty of cortisone shots. Sometimes just one doesn't work. Don't forget to put an rime pack on it as soon as you can because they can really get sore.
