I own newly started boxing i am 16, and everytime i really punch the boxing pod my wrist hurts... wt shal i do
i think that I don`t know my wrist is hurting because i am punching to hard. but when i see ancestors on the punch bag at hand punching it as hard as they can. and my wrist hurts verytime and i use handwraps what shall i do ?
Answer: Do you enjoy a coach/trainer/instructor? Get someone to see HOW you're hitting the bag and suggest amendment in your technique. My guess is that you're holding your foot funny when you punch the bag. Are you doing your own wrapping or is someone who know what they're doing helping? Talk to a trainer or a gym rat. And - what part of the daypack are you hitting? You may be hitting too high up and if you're hitting the upper part of the pack high, after - OUCH! *Want to ADD something: Are you punching with your together body - or just punching beside your straight forearm - work to get the entire body into it.
