Answer: my 15 year hoary daughter had a concussion this finishing week too. she fell off a sled while sledding down the hil. we took her to the er and they did a cat scan of her d¨Ścolletage and brain and didnt see anything abnormal but the dr said she could hold a slight concussion. they sent her home and told us to just keep under surveillance her for any signs she is getting worse--increased pain, vomiting, ect. he said that her brain needed time to reboot and she should be fine within a few days. she stayed home from school for a few days and is presently back to usual. she just doesnt want to walk sledding for a while.
I have never have a concussion.
But I do have an answer as to why you be in the hospital overnite.
A concussion is when your brain, suffers trauma.
You are generally kept overnite, to make sure you can rouse up. Also to monitor you, for headaches, vomiting, memory loss and neuro function.
How very well you can move your arms, and legs.
