Is it bleak to mix to mix sleep medication?
i have an awful time getting to sleep at darkness.. im going to the doctor to get on something to sleep, but can you become addicted to OTC sleep meds? i usually own to take a mixture of Nyquil/sominex or tylonal pm.. could it be incurable to mix drugs that all own the same purpose?
Answer: I don't remember the formulation of adjectives of these but most of these meds supress the your nervous system somehow. several have the same/ similar ingredients that could glibly lead to overdose and toxicity- next to the potential to kill or lead to permanent organ spoil. this is one of the reasons that the FDA pulled the childrens cold medication off of shelves not long. The best thing to do is speak to a doctor (even a sleep specialist) they think through the meds and if they do decide to tender a couple, they will make sure that they work contained by different ways without interactions. ( they are also deeply aware of addictions and wll work near you to prevent them.)
You could OD real jammy if you are not carefull. It happens moderately a bit people mixing drugs, kids stealing their parents drugs and taking them to a drug delegation and wind up overdosing themselves.
Getting the doctors proposal is important. Generally you cannot become addicted to OTC sleep meds, but as you would expect anything can become psychologically dependant.
I currently use klonopin, and i'm phsyically dependant on it, but take a "drug holiday." From time to time.
Mixing Nyquil and tylonal are essentially two antihistimes, which make you drowsy.
It could be lethal if you take signifigantly more than the reccomended dose, but you would more approaching die from the acetaminophen toxicity before you would the sedating drugs contained by these two specific sedating drugs.
Always seek medical supervision when dealing beside matter of prescription. But basically you're OK
