Friend get a doomed to failure cut...aid me out?
My friend cut herself pretty deep accidentally on a piece of metal surrounded by her garage. She did nothing to stop the bleeding or cold compress the wound (yea i no stupid.) I looked at the piece of metal hanging out of the table, its verbs (though now its bloodstained.) She say today it really burns and it looks like it may disappear a scar.what can we do?
Answer: You don't influence how long ago this happened, but achieve her to the doctor or a clinic. She may need a tetanus vaccine if she hasn't have one recently. She probably needed stitches. Do NOT use hydrogen peroxide. It is destructive to dutiful tissue and is no longer recommended in drug to use it for wounds. Fever and/or discolored streak going up the extremity would be a sign of infection/poisoning.
put hydrogen porixide on it and if it burns put honey on it.
Take her to a doctor immediately. It wishes to be properly cared for, and a tetanus shot is a must. I don't attention to detail if the metal is clean, ring your general MD and obtain an appointment.
You can never be sure that the metel was in truth clean, she may enjoy an infection.if she starts getting a fever consequently that is probably what it is. She should really describe her parents about this! First of adjectives ignore the guy describing you to put honey on the wound. You can't put food products on injuries. She needs to own it cleaned out and possibly sewn up, so take her to the Dr. She will also have need of to have a tetnus shot if hers isn't up to date or she could attain gang green / lock-jaw.
umm, first of all, merely because the piece of metal appeared clean doesnt close-fisted it didnt have germs on it. i would pour betadine..NOT peroxide... on it. Then speck with a sharpie adjectives around the red area afterwards wrap it in some gauze and some serious newspaper tape. This mode it can still breathe. Tomorrow check it and if the red has extended beyond where on earth you marked it, or it get puss in it, or she get a fever, these are adjectives signs of infection. I would definetly go and receive a Tetanus shot as soon as possible. This could be serious, so watch it conscientiously.
After 12 hours or so it's too late for sutures, your friend will probably hold a worse scar in a minute than if she got it stitched up. You can slickly tell if a wound requests stitches if the edges don't stay together after being held that instrument for 15 minutes. HOWEVER if the edges of the wound are together it may not be the case. At lowest possible she should get a tetanus shot.
I once nick my thumb with a chopper. Bled like crazy looked harsh too. I washed it out near ice marine put surgical ointment on it and tape it up. Healed just fine and since the edges of the wound stayed together the deformity is barely perceptible.
easy 1 ...you gotter attain her checked out by her doctor. better safe than sorry i utter . o and tell her be more carefull ;)
try and hold the cut together and do your best to stop the bleeding
if that doesnt work afterwards it was already too delayed
