Nurses who work contained by outpatient centers...?

Is it true that their schedule is more fixed, as within they don't have to work the long 12 hour shifts and weekends, holidays, etc? What exactly IS outpatient? Where (nurses) do they usually work?

Answer:    I work contained by the Cat Scan department and nurses are everywhere.

ER, OR, Radiology, Breast Clinic, Oncology, Case Management, Bed-side, CCU, Recovery areas.

There is any type of shift you can imagine surrounded by the hospital. If you're more of a day shift human being M-F 9-5 person a clinic might be your point. But there are those sympathetic of hours in the hospital also. And, the hospital will probably reward more. There are also home health-type nurses who go drop by peoples homes.

Good Luck
It depends on the facility. Sometimes they do have long shifts. My sister occasionally does a 10 to 12 hour shift if they enjoy a surgery scheduled belatedly in the afternoon. My hospital does 12 hour shifts for outpatient nurses.
My favorite mission was contained by hospice/home health. Monday-Friday position, day shift hours just. NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS!
