My 18 month feeble sucked on an Ibuprofen pill, will he be ok?
He handed me a pill that said I-2 on it.. adjectives the brown coating was sucked past its sell-by date of it but the pill was still entact. I FREAKED out, I dont own a car to pocket him to the doctor or hospital but if it was existence serious of course I would call for an ambulance. What should I do? Do you think he will be ok? FYI- All my medication is kept up high beside childproof containers so I haven't a clue how he got this pill.
Answer: Since the pill be intact and only the brown coating be sucked off I am sure he will be fine, should be no have need of to panic...but I would telephone call poison control to see what they say. 1-8OO-764-7661. Good luck and I hope he is fine...Give an update to agree to us know. :D
What you can do is to call your local poison control center and ask them over the phone. They will report to you what to do. Or you could call your doctor and bring up to date him what happened over the phone and he might be capable of help you. Call a friend who have a car and hold them drive you to your doctor. If your 18 month old found 1 pill, he might enjoy eaten others too... only a thought. I would for safety sake stir get your toddler checked out.

Some how try and find a way to take to the doctor. Either that or call the poision control center and ask them what to do. It might not be plenty to do damage, but you do not want to bring a chance. I would phone your pediatrician
What you should do is call your Dr. or Poison Control Center don't come here contained by a situation like that not that I'm putting you down or anything..Just appointment and make sure the child will be okay and maintain the number handy to P.C.C. as this type of thing can arise at anytime to anyone ..Good Luck to you and the baby. If he with the sole purpose sucked on it, he should be fine. You've got a smart kid. He actually hand you the pill. Give him some water and check on his status from time to time. Might want to accomplish a security check to integer out how he got the pill.
