Can one alleviate a torn ligament within the knees beside physical psychiatric help? Or is surgery the best method for reparing the
Answer: As I understand it, the ligaments will not treat if torn, only if stretched. If they are torn it can one and only be repaired. In my case, All ligaments be torn and a cartilage was torn. After a therapeutic period i go through 3 months of rehab to see if the knee responded. The rehab concentrated on building up my hamstring surrounded by order to confer the knee stability. It worked. If my knees had not responded they would enjoy done surgery and repaired the ligaments but as it was they did not. That be over 15 years ago and I have never have any more problem.
yes i think you can.
Ligaments are tough fibre that are not fleshy and vascular enough to smoothly fuse and meld together. Muscles do that with alacrity. Surgery stitches ligaments together (joins them) and keep them intact until their fibres knit together over a term of time.
It depends how bad the injury is. For a relatively minor hole PT is fine, you'll have to hang on to the muscles around the knee strong to provide stability. For a doomed to failure or complete tear surgery is compulsory. It depends on the ligament and degree of opening. MCL tears in isolation acutally restore to health quite ably...complete ACL tears usually do best with surgery. Yet, minor tears can be help with conservative meticulousness. In either skin, a course of PT would benefit you prior to surgery.
