A grotesque lump on my wrist?should i see a doctor?
every so often, a bump appears on my departed hand /wrist.
it hurts when i touch it. it sticks out if i bend my writs. after some time, it dissapears.. usually after i hit my wrist against something.
do you know what this could be?

Answer: Could be a ganglion cyst.
Well in fact i have that to and ive be wondering about what it might be..
it sounds similar to a cist (don't know if its spelt right). My mom gets that when she elevate heavy things and it sounds exactly close to what you have. The best you can do is exposed with it as it is not harmful and it does go away. The time to see your doctor is if it doesnt dance away and changes color. hope this help.

I got one something like a year ago and since then, it's gone away.
It's nil to worry more or less. It will eventually go away.
Mine disappeared after getting hit near a basketball.
Every once in a while, if it get hit, it will hurt.
Could be a benign cyst, but it seems to verbs you, so for your piece of mind why not make an appointment near you Dr. so that you can feel better..Its other better to consult a physician when in doubt, or if its tender.
Yes, I had something as you where on earth describing years ago. It was a ganglion. A water cyst. Not trying to upset you, they never mentioned the " C " word. See a Dr., the good entry you cant get your appendage wet. So no dishes for a week.
I agree 100% beside those that said it is a ganglion cyst. I had one a couple years ago. It be painful, but finally go away on its own. I wore a soft wrist brace (from the drugstore) to help me not move my wrist, which help with the discomfort, and help it go away. Of course, I'm not a doctor, but that sounds similar to what it is. If you look up "ganglion cyst" you should find more info about them and what cause them, etc. I wouldn't recommend smacking it with a book to seize rid of it (as some websites suggest). I tried that and it only made it hurt worse!
