Wash, rinse and dry very well, then swab it out next to some rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball. Apply triple antibiotic emolument.
Do this 2-3 times a day. Try wash it and it wouldn't get resembling that.

What color is this "puss" you talk give or take a few?
If it's greenish, that indicates an infected.
If it's clearish yellow, i.e. normal. That's call lymph.
The "crust" is normal, it's nearby because the lymph hardens.
To get hold of the crusties to go away for a bit, verbs the piercing. Do two sea saline soaks a day.
If it's a strange piercing, of course it's going to be sore. You simply got a nozzle shoved through your navel.
