Major surgery 'booked' for subsequent week.Now they phone up & say-so forgot to book hospital.What should I do?10 points.
I had chief surgery booked for the 7th of Feb to have my intact Neurostumulator implant replaced as my mobile is dead.
Medtronic Rep know it's the 7th. doctor know's it's the 7th. BUT Doc's receptionist just rung and said that she have a problem with her paperwork. She have told me that the original booking be for mid March? True and correct. But the front of my file say's I am 'booked' for 7th Feb. She be confused. But I said it's OK AS LONG AS SHE HAS ME BOOKED IN FOR FEB 7TH. NO! She forgot.
I am so stressed and crying, because it wouldn't be too much of a problem on their end BUT because Doc cancelled his surgery record today, he only operate on Thursday's, then THOSE PEOPLE CANCELLED TODAY will be done on the 7th disappearing NO ROOM FOR MY SURGERY.
I was told they may know how to fit me in on the 6th March?
I hold organised care for my son. Given the university my hospital dates, it's a week surrounded by hospital, and alternative contact details. Organised and cancelled appointments.
Answer: I would make some more call, maybe directly to the doctor, perchance something can be done. This just seem to major to me for them to newly say they'll fit you surrounded by later. If the hospital refuse to do anything, well consequently thats bull, and just see if you can noitfy everyone else of the datechange. It's not resembling you were responsible. I hope everything works out fot the best.
The arrangements that you've made for your son.are they competent to care for him on an emergency starting place? Are there any own flesh and blood members that can step surrounded by to help out beside him and everything because of the urgency of the situation? Because of your last entry - the backache you are in and inability to chomp through, sounds like you should go before to the emergency room.
Another idea would be to contact the hospital command, there should be some giving of patient representative that can achievement on your behalf.
