Anyone ever hold Osteopathic Therapy?

I have a set of ribs surrounded by the front that I broke 4 years ago playing soccer. To this day, I am still emotion pain. I go to the doctor, who diagnosed me with costochondritis (an inflammation of the junction where the upper ribs interweave with the cartilage that holds them to the breastbone or sternum).

My doctor sent me to a physical psychotherapist to help localize the agony and build my core. Problem is, every session is a painful nightmare.

My psychoanalyst recommended that I see an Osteopath and look in to prolotherapy. I own researched prolotherapy, but I want to understand more roughly speaking Osteopaths. Anyone ever been treated by one? Thanks!

Answer:    Osteopaths are unsophisticatedly the same as MD's. If you're looking to see an osteopath who can do psychotherapy for that condition, please call around formerly you make an appointment. Many Osteopaths don't do 'hands-on' work anymore. Don't capture me wrong, they do good work; it a short time ago seems to be smaller number and less adjectives in that profession. The defining part is restoring proper biomechanics to the ribs (how the ribs smoothly move). I would recommend going to an osteopath or chiropractor, but mention the history of fracture and ask for rib 'mobilization' rather than 'manipulation' if it suits you. Mobilization is the collective moving without the 'pop'.
