Patient rights and doctor issues? Any dr's or nurses around?
Hi. For the 3 weeks I have be having issues next to my current doctor's office. Whenever I bid to leave a message for the nurse (because she never answers the phone- it go straight to voicemail), it takes at most minuscule 4 days for a returned call, even though the message say it should only pilfer 2 days at most. Other times when she calls me, she will say she is going to call me fund and 2 days later I still haven't hear from her so, I ended up calling wager on and being the annoying forgiving. I have main back issues and am planned to see an orthopedist as of last THursday (after hours of waiting on hold for the nurse and numerous messages) and am still waiting for a returned phone phone call from that Thursday! So, do I have any rights? Can I complain to anyone? Is this typical of dr's office? What would you do?
Answer: Complaining to them over the phone wont do much. you will have to travel in and constraint to speak to someone. We have have that problem many times next to our Dr when they started taking on more patients then they can feel, so we would walk right contained by and complain until we were taken thoroughness of. (it did help that my husband would stir in to complain while he be on duty with the city Police) Whenever we nickname now, they are right over things for us.

Although I am a nurse, I do not work within a Dr.'s office...I devise that if you feel that you are not individual treated in the route that you need, it is time to complain or look elsewhere.
You clearly have a right to voice your complaints to the department manager and the doctor. I don't chew over it's unreasonable to have a send for returned in a clad amount of time, in reality I would think two days is pushing it. I also expect that when she tells you she will christen you back, she should at smallest mention a time frame and then stick to it, a bit than leave you lifeless. The fact you aren't getting your answers surrounded by a decent time frame suggests any the office is overwhelmed, or that it is not run drastically efficiently. Neither scenario is apposite for you as a patient. If they can't hire sufficient staff to collect their patient's needs, or densely use the staff they have, and you can't win a response when you raise the issue, consequently I'd say it's time to travel looking for a new doctor. I'd also kind it a point to inform the old one why you are making the translation. I wouldn't say it be typical of doctor offices that are resourcefully run, but unfortuntely it is typical of one that is not. At this rate, you are not getting the exactness you deserve, and I think it is time you moved to a different doctor.
