Healthcare: one of my ankles swells from time to time. No discomfort. What could be the issue?

Answer:    If one ankle is bigger than the other ankle, suspect a blood clot...go to a doctor or the ER and hold them run a venous doppler test.
It could be a blood irrigation problem, even heart problem..Better aim medical counsel. Good luck
Since you have no aching, it could be edema. You may be retaining water and that may basis the swelling. Go to the doctor, have him see it when it is swollen. May lately have to be put on a med for it.
