My little finger is swollen and feels numb, though I can still bend it. The side of my ring finger is also numb. The side and top of my hand is numb too. Obviously I tattered a nerve and a ligament when I had my chance, but I dont think I damaged the bone or any tendons. Should I bother my line doctor with this? I dont want to waste my doctor's time if the numbness will jump away by itself eventually.

I bent all my fingers right back. and my fingers be double the size. i could not bend or move it. and it was all red. (it looked reasonably funny as my fingers were really huge )

I was chasing my lil sister, and i tripped on the side pavement curbe.

I be screaming in agony.

I went to a&e but we have to wait in reception for ages. next me and my mum gave up. i was reasonably annoyed with nhs. they didnt seem to construe it was important

i consent to it heal by itself. and it did heal. it took give or take a few week and half.

just as long as you dont use the injured fingers much. also take it masaged by your mum or someone. massage gently.

my hand/fingers are ok in a minute. no permanent damage.

so it would def alleviate. i was quite surprised how high-speed it healed.

if its swollen for more then 24 hours- eg swollen and not going down or getting worse, see a doctor soon, you could own damaged a muscle.
But if it is getting easoer to move and the swelling is going down, it should clear up, I did this a long while ago, my figer did swell but only slightly, it sisnt hurt after in the region of 3 or 4 days. But I play the violin so have probably got stronger muscles within my finger then you so it would have predictable healed a tad faster.

I bet that hurt!
Best to tape it carefully to the next finger (not too tightly) for a couple of days AFTER you put a cold compress on it for an hour. It'll be sore for a while so wear a finger protection for a week.
