Answer: My father have trigiminal neuralgia and has suffered greatly.But he is currently taking gabapentin and carbamezipine. It seem to keep it lower than control with just an occasional face aching.I hope this helps.

This is a massively painful condition that usually cause sharp, shooting pains across the face and/or d¨Ścolletage. Regular pain medicine often don't give a hand. Some of the seizure medicine can help, as this is a brass neck pain. If you haven't see your doctor, please do. If you have and s/he didn't oblige, see a neurologist.
