Has anybody be successful within getting ss disability for fibromyalgia ?
Going for disability,wondered if anyone had alot of problems getting it for fibromyalgia. Any proposal?
Answer: Yes. I was denied the first time and after that they permitted my claim. That was vertebrae in 95, when it be not generally acknowledged by the medical community. Its pretty adjectives these days. You positively have to hold your doctor backing you up. Do you enjoy an official diagnosis for FMS? For me, getting the proper diagnosis is what took the longest.
The Social Security Administration will want you to prove you can't hold down a profession. They will require you to see their doctors, including a visit near a psychiatrist. I was totally touchy by this. I have a physical disability, NOT a mental one. The doc I saw be very nice give or take a few it, claiming he had to generate sure I wasn't depressed because of the chronic pain condition. Yeah right, he be checking to see if I belonged in the looney bin! (I majored contained by psych, I know.) It was nice of him to put it so compassionately though.
I strongly suggest you make sure to maintain doing something outside of home. Staying home all the time make you just focus on how much throbbing you're in. That can organize to depression. When my children were within school, I spent 2 hours a week as a classroom volunteer. When they moved out on their own, I be actually competent to get a segment time job (because near was plentifully less to do at home). Yes, it make the pain worse (to varying degrees) but, the mental benefits far out weigh the physical cost.

Have you tried Cymbalta? It has made a world of difference surrounded by my pain.

years ago fibro be not acknowledged as a real disease. but it is becoming more particular these days. my mom n imperative got her disability for fibro. but you own to have proof and cant work for at smallest year. so good luck
