I fell and my armpit caught me. And very soon my shoulder really hurts. Should I dance to the doctor?
You know how you can trip over your shoelace? Well, I was wearing Eeyore slippers, and they have ears. I was trying to appropriate them off, and ably...my right armpit caught my fall. (Huh? Lift your arm above your team leader and then lean against the wall.) I can go my shoulder above my head so it's not dislocated, and I can put it contained by all the majority positions, but if I pretend I'm superman to the rescue (flying in the atmosphere or whatever, arms straight out), it really, really hurts. But I can do this chance popping thing next to this shoulder and it hurts if I try it...maybe that's why...hmmm. Just notice that. It's probably just a sprain, right? Because I get hold of hurt all the time...I stir to the ER like, 3 times a year! I don't want to walk again, have an X-Ray, and after the doctors say to me, "Oh, It's fine. Go whip some advil and rest it for a couple of days." I have have that happen waaay too oodles times. I don't know. Help?
Answer: You should REALLY see a doctor, because if it "pops" as you say, near pain accompanying, it's probably dislocated.
Judging by your description, dislocation sounds very probable. Still, better locked that sorry.
take sum tylenol or sumthing and rest it but hold it moving.u just might want 2 stir 2 the ER 2 make sure its nil serious.u might hav torn a muscle 2.feel better!
This is totally simulair to my kitchen slip and fall. I threw arm out and caught against cabinet top. I did not go fo a week. I banker and I was surrounded by pain lifting ,snatch and move. And register is front chest high so even that hurt to hold arm up to press key. THE x ray said not broke but ARTHrisis be visable. Injurys flare up arth. I didnt even realize I had it. I used grill pads, Aleve, and rotation exercise Dr showed me. About 4 wks it be OK again. Maybe your DR has xray contained by office so you wont hold use ER or try one those small walk contained by clinics. I still get some discomfort if I lay on wrong or hoist something too heavy. Increase your calsium and check other supplements requirements for better health.
