Congrats! I would do a lot of walking. Walking is polite. This could happen at any moment. When the newborn is ready to come is when you'll stir. I wish you a decent and speedy delivery.
You can stay at that point for awhile. If you are already at your due date you can try a few antediluvian wives tales approaching sex or scrubbing the floor on your hand and knees.

Women having their first child tend to efface and next dilate. Effacing is the movement of the baby's head down through the birth waterway. When the baby's head is fully surrounded by contact with the cervix, it is considered to be fully efface. In new mom's the cervix is dilating for the first time and that typically take time. Most new moms will be fully efface and then their cervix will dilate. Women who enjoy had more than one babe and have already be through childbirth have cervices that already know how to dilate. Many times, they may be a 1-2 cm beside many weeks to move about in their pregnancy and can be at 3-4 cm even close to lacking having effacement. You involve both effacement and dilation to deliver.
Unless there is a compelling basis for you to be delivered hasty (medical problems with any you or the baby) most OBs are going to want to wait until you are at the 40 week smudge before they induce labor. I've hear wive's tales advocate for intercourse to induce labor though I can't say I enjoy seen any studies that hold proven it to effect. It makes sense to me surrounded by some senses since orgasm would promote uterine contraction but theres no scientific proof that I know of supporting it.
I decision I had better proposal to give but lucklessly, its still a crap shoot and even under controlled medical induction babies tend to come when they want to, and not beforehand. Sometimes forcing things prematurely actually cause complications. If you are at the 40 week mark I give attention to you would be reasonable asking for an induction if you are passion antsy. If this is your first, you could also ask mom and see how her labor was though thats no guarantee yours will be indistinguishable. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!
hmm whens your do date? this happen to my friend and she was a week tardy and she put headphones next to baby mozart playing on her tummy and it help! sounds weird but i guess it get the little one stimulated and out he came!
