Why is my toe black and blue for so long?

About 2 months ago while at work I dropped a very thickset pallet onto my toe. It hurt a lot for the subsequent week or so but I toughed it out. Ever since then though my toe have remained black and blue and doesn't seem to be recuperative. It don't hurt anymore but the black and blueness won't go away...why?

Answer:    I deduce your toe is dead. You should budge and see a dr. My aunt years ago dropped a refridge on her foot and her toes turned black and blue and never healed. She terminated up with them black from gangrene and they needed to be amputated.
its blue and black bcuz of the swelling is still in that and go c a doctor rite away thats wut happen 2 me and i almost got my foot cut past its sell-by date bcuz of that
That happend to me and it will stay that way for a wile and so you know the toe staple will come off so be prepared.

The black and blueness is the swelling. If you rime it and elevate it as much as possible, the swelling (black and blueness) will decrease quicker. Also, foot stay black and blue longer than other parts of the body due to the fact that they are the farther distance from the heart. I sprained my ankle three weeks ago and the external swelling (the humane you can see) went away because I kept my foot elevated anytime I be home. Elevating at night is well-mannered, too! If you are a runner it's common. It's call "black toe" or "runner's toe".
