I am a nursing student and be planned to be in motion to into the OR.?
I was pretty worried about it. I met my tolerant and watched the nurse put contained by her IV, and while she was doing it the forgiving was moaning surrounded by pain. As this be happening, I started to return with a cold sweat and began to see black spots. I have to excuse myself and sit down because I was alarmed I would fall. I'm not a big follower of surgeries but I didn't think I would be artificial this way.
Was this a vasovegal hostile response? Is there anyway to cure this?
Answer: You could hold had a vasovegal response. Did you lock your knees?--this could make you wobbly. Take deep breaths. Just remember that not adjectives nurses are cut out to be surgical nurses, or ER nurse, or ICU nurse, etc. You may make a wonderful department nurse, if the hospital bothers you or a wonderful nursing home nurse. A nurse is not a nurse is not a nurse. What I mean by explicitly that not all nurses can bar a bloody ER truama, or OR, or etc. We are not cookie cutter clones. You will find your spot. Until then, while within school, simply be aware of those things that make you discern like you may shaky. I do want to tell you that those things that bother you in a minute, may not bother you very long, because we do become desensitized after be subjected to things over a term of time. Good Luck. With the nursing shortage we need adjectives kinds of nurses, even those next to weak stomaches. LOL

I've be an OR nurse for 16 yrs as well as tutoring nursing school for 2 yrs beforehand I had children. Went straight out of university into the OR. You aren't the first to do this and you won't be the last. Heck even an OR nurse pass out sometimes, but it's usually from heat. You did exactly the right point stepping back and sitting down. I've taken more than one student done to the ER after they hit their person in charge passing out because they kept insisting they be "fine".
We all enjoy things that bother us, areas of practice that we don't like or we don't fit surrounded by. I cannot take seeing ancestors in traumatic niggle, so the ER or flight nursing are not for me. And I have no interest within psych at all.
