When do you know if your lip ring is truely infected and not only middle-of-the-road uplifting?
Just got my lip pierced close to five or six days ago and it's still red, swollen, and puss. I have no clue on weather or not it's infected. I don't want answers that say everyone's body acts differently...because I know they do. I would freshly like to know if this is "normal" after 5-6 days of have it and a possible time when this should subside.

if you are just getting crusty wan bits around the piercing? If so thats normal. or are you getting proper pus coming out of it?

when i got mine pierced near a stud it was swolen and red for over a week, and heal fine in the cease with no infection
You shouldn't hold puss during normal health-giving. It sounds like it is infected. Mine heal normally and only was swollen for a few days and consequently was fine.
