Answer: An x-ray is the single way to report to if it is broken or not. But to make the misery and swelling go away or at most minuscule ease up some, is to rob Ibuprofen (Motrin). Try not to use it to much or you might aggravate it worse. I hope your ankle feels better and I hope this help!

Consider calling your doctor's office and asking if you can be see today... if not, ask if they can decree an X-ray over the phone, so you can go directly to a radiology department first. Going to an ER for this type of injury is markedly appropriate if you can't see your doc.
Pop some pain pills and hold someone drive you to the ER and get x-rays. Ice it, this will slim down swelling and pain. Sounds similar to your broke it. Feel better!
