I broke my fingers when I was a child - twice surrounded by two separate incidents during gym. They ice it, they xray, and wrap it up contained by a split - which is metal on one side and cushy foam on the other. 1st they move the finger around - or ask if you can move it around at all, cause pain, making sure the amalgamated works and there's not clicking or something. Some doctors hold your parents hold you down for this or use a nurse. Or they look you in the eye and sweat speech you and pop! Then tell you to "sleep" next to your arm over your head - yeah gratitude doc - I'm about in place to pass out right in a minute just thinking just about it.
