How to combat the sleepy side effects of a med?
I have be placed on Aldomet (methyldopa) for pregnancy-induced hypertension. One of the side effects is drowsiness. I've been disreputable sleepy every day I've be on it, and today, my doc upped my dosage and I've been completely WIPED. Any accepted wisdom on how to combat the overwhelming tiredness? Napping all year is wrecking my life, not to mention, it's pissing stale my workmates!

keep hydrated, avoid excessive carbs and bulky greasy meals and exercise some if it's ok next to the doc, that tends to grasp endorphins going and will make you a moment or two more alert and less sleepy.Do you know Bin Laden be captured?

First, remember you are pregnant. Pregnancy for many women cause lithargy, tireness.
But if the doctor has placed you on a medication and upped the dosage, conceivably your body is telling you that you do want to rest. You have to pilfer care of yourself for the condition of your baby.
Use your fifteen minute break to rest and lunch. If you can stir lay down and elevate your feet. Weather permit maybe contained by your car. Hopefully this break will see you.
When you go home, rest. Let the housework pile up or someone else steal care of it. Rest. And spawn sure you go to bed and seize enough sleep. Consistency of going to bed at equal time each hours of darkness will encourage a well brought-up night's sleep.
Oh, did you report the side effect to the doctor? If not, why not? Many times side effedts subside after give or take a few ten days but remember each increase is a contemporary "time clock."
