I phoned up this morning wanting a repeat prescription for my painkillers, she said "you only have the last ones on the 7th of this month", and i replied, yes, 2 weeks ago and i'm nearly out of them, and by the time i procure this prescription, which will be tomorrow, and then i enjoy to take it to the pharmacist and consequently they have to writ them, so i won't get them untill Thursday. she later said " It will be ready after 16.00 tomorrow".

A doctor's receptionist just needs fixed access to your records insofar as to see her to fulfill her job specifications and supply the best care to the patients. She have to have access to the files and signs one and the same disclosure documents the doctor has to, so why not.It also save the doctors time.
It's on your lenient record . so yes because if she enter your name and any other details you give onto the system it will bring up a record of your appointments and prescription requests .. but I don't ruminate it would tell a receptionist user the medical history.

Put in a complaint, I abhor the way we are treated approaching fools at the doctors. This little woman has no medical know-how, how dare she speak to you like that!Unfortunately doctors use their receptionists to corral the patients. That is their job - to try and give a hand the doctors. Or in my travel case, to stop having the doctor mortal rude to you ,the receptionist, and treating you like an idiot who wilderness his precious (too precious for mere mortals!) time.
It's their livelihood. If every time someone rang up beside a question approaching this, & they had to progress and ask the doctor, then the doctor would hold no time to treat patients! She's not really giving you advice, but something would enjoy come up on the computer screen around the fact that your second prescription was pretty recent. Just let the woman do her errand and don't worry in the order of it.

on her screen she have access to some info to help next to patent supervision such as repeat prescriptions and appointments . this is to speed things along for patent safekeeping they most probably don't know what the medication does unless it is common and they are subject to like confidentiality act as any other medical professional
