Has anyone else have a severed patellar tendon from a snowboarding twist of fate?
6 1/2 years ago I severed my patellar tendon snowboarding - - I fell on my friend's snowboard after falling when our boards get crossed comming off the stool lift. [long story - it be a freak accident] I'm just wondering if anyone else out nearby has have the same injury. 4 surgeries and thousands of headache pills [literaly] I am still in aching and taking Vicodin ES every day. The doctors read out there is "zilch more medically we can do for you". So why do they keep giving me dull pain pills?? I am only 24 yrs frail - I don't want to be taking pain pills every sunshine for the rest of my life, however I am in agony doing basically the normal menial tasks that everyone is supposed to do every daytime [walking, sitting with knees bent, stairs]. I am at my wits end - what should I do? Should I in recent times get knees replacement surgery now to pick up myself further agony down the road?

Knee replacement? Is the arthritis in your knees that severe?
