Need objective evaluation on Pediatrician's advice. What do U chew over?
In last 2 weeks presently, 28mth old son bang head against doors, wall, everything he finds when he get frustrated which happens several times per time. (His patience is fundamentally limited lately bec. he have had a physical bad cold for 3 weeks very soon and he is fed up.) Ignored him the 1st week but bang escalated and now he get bruises, bumps and even made himself bleed from head a bit once. So now at the sign of 1st thump, I sit him in timeout bench (belt on) for 2-3 min and when he stops tantrum explain why punishment. Still no improvement. Pediatrician say to let him blast his head on wall as long as he desires to (enven if he bleeds) but its the only route he will stop. I don't think I can do it! What would YOU do within my place? Also, pediatrician says I requirement to stop worrying about this cold bec. it will stir away on its own. Its viral and not bacterial so not much can be done. My neighbor is a general pract.doctor and say 3 weeks is too long for a cold and maybe microbes is local inside nose.

I would suggest taking the child to another pediatrician for a second opinion, without beating about the bush.In California, some nosy neighbor would hear the bang and the crying, call child protective services and possibly enjoy you hauled up as an unfit parent due to the child's bruises not person able to be told apart from child ill-treat.
For your own protection, get a second opinon. Ask the second doctor to rule out asthma, allergies, and if nought else matches, ask for carrying out tests to rule out a blood sugar imbalance (hypoglycemia), big insulin and/or Candida fungus.

I would probably get a second belief, if anything to make you quality better. I can't imagine have to watch any child, consent to alone your own, hurt themselves.Good Luck

I would lug the child to a different doctor immediately. He can hurt himself seriously next to the head bang. The head bang can be a symptom of a completely different disease. Get him to a different doctor.how do I make a moist hot compress?
I own the same problem- my son is 14 months and when he is frusturated he bang head on anything. My doc told me to give the brush-off it but that doesnt seem to give support to. I now deflect his attention to something new resembling a book or toy. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. As fo the cold, go to a different doc. 3 weeks is approach too long for a child to have a cold he requirements amoxicillan.How do you remove psudoephenerine/sudephed from your system?
some times you just enjoy to get a second evaluation. yourpediatrician might know what he is talking nearly, but
i would not let a cold move about on that long without finding out
what is cause it. maybe an allergy? as for the boss
banging it sounds approaching it is bad satisfactory to maybe be
precarious. it isn't time to change doctors but, but you

i would go to another doctor,and seize him re checked.i would modification pediatricians, and if ur son is causing himself physical damage because he is frustrated then I don`t know he has issues beside learning how to traffic with things and desires to see a specialist.
