You can hire yourself a workman's comp attorney, if necessary. I believe that your husband's former insurance company is the one to foot the medical bills, but I'm not sure. If it be your doctor's fault for not giving your husband the correct treatment, doctors enjoy malpractice insurance to cover it. The attorney would know your options, and you should be capable of get a free consultation from someone.

If your husband is a City Letter Carrier and have been beside the P.O. long enough, he would qualify for disability for the time he requests to recover from the surgery. Have your husband verbalize to his Union steward about that.

Pick up the phone and enjoy your husband call his worker's comp adjuster. If he be well-enough to go put a bet on to work as a mail owner, (meaning that the doctor gave him little to no impairment rating), afterwards the problem would most likely be considered resolved by the insurance companies. Before you hire an attorney check the better business bureau and your state bar to generate a better decision.

I'm have back surgery on my lower put money on, what will I need to back me in salvage. i.e shower chair, etc.

i reckon it's too late to record a claim with workmen's comp. if he did record in '01-they should know how to open the armour if the doctor ordered prn visits for headache. if his ACL was torn later, there's no instrument they would have tolerate him quit therapy, or not enjoy done the surgery. you can't even walk beside a torn ACL let alone live and work next to it for 5 years. are you/he sure that's what it is? sounds like degenerative disease or arthritis? i would phone an accident legal representative, most give free info over the phone or free consultations. or name a specialist to examine the knee, x-ray, MRI, doesn`t matter what it took to know for sure.

Information from someone that has have total knee replacement on both knees?

If he file a Workman's Comp claim and had physical analysis for the initial injury then he is entitled to follow up consideration until such time that the injury has be repaired to the best of his physician's ability. If during the course of the closing 5 years he has have no follow-up visits (with the initial doctor or purely to complain to the new one) after there is no definitive road to prove it was aggravated by something unrelated. Get a virtuous lawyer at this point. Also, depending upon how long he have had the insurance coverage (usually 1 year, but 2 in some states) they cannot deny it as a pre-existing condition. Call your insurance company and find out how long the pre-exsisting condition clause is on your insurance. They habitually times say know thinking you won't know better than to give the name them on a technicality.
