Been a EMT&PARAMEDIC for 35yrs seen and done allsorts but if I want medical treatment like needles or I bleed I Feint is it lately me being a coward or do other medics suffer from this.

Its not just I don't close to sick, I mean if I am sick I shake and sweat. If I get the impression sick I panic. If anyone is sick to hand me I panic. I don't know why, I purely do!
The only route I could get around it is to move out the nursing profession!

yep I'm the same i am unnerved of needles and getting stitched and stuff, yet when it comes to giving injections and stitches i am fine.strangely i don't mind getting tattoos though.

Don't verbs. I was a nursing assistant in a motherliness ward for 2 years and saw so much blood and yuck, you wouldn't believe it. If I go for a blood oral exam, I have to turn my director away as it makes me wobbly. I once stabbed my own hand accidently and run screaming up the road because of the blood. We're just wimps when it comes to our own blood but lately seem to know how to deal near everyone elses. You're normal.My uncle go all through world time of war 2 he was within the army and at Dunkirk, he witnessed his friends falling all around him, but still fainted at the verbs of a needle,!!
I know a dentist next to a phobia about seeing a dentist for himself. Maybe its cos you own to much inside info, like if I have a blood test i wouldn't really ruminate were the syringe was going, where on earth as you would know exactly which vein artery etc. bound to knock you sick.

wowwhen going through nursing school i unloved needles, blood, everything. now i love watching surgeries. nil at all grosses me out. except one entity.i cant stand some smells that come along with working in a doctors bureau haha
