I have one and the same problem and I use GoldBond powder or cream. Sometimes the itching gets really fruitless at night. I whip Prozac.You can try oral benadryl..but that will make you sleep. You can also use spray benadryl, or cortisone or as a ultimate resort, ask your doctor is prednisone would help, but you don't want to use it long occupancy.
Have you tried oatmeal baths, like aveeno.
Is your skin truly getting try, try some glycerin soaps. I get mine at bath and body works. and lots of lotion, it might abet
