I drive tractor trailers for a living and have come into a stinky problem a brand new guy was hired and drives the truck at hours of darkness he is a smoker i am not there are no policies to disallow him from smoking in the truck does anyone know if there are any danger from left over second paw smoke it sure smells gross he is also sensitive to anything i use to cover up his smells .can handle smoking a cigerrette but can't clutch the smell of fabrezze

Your co-driver is endanger your health. Second foot smoke is just as lethal to the non-smoker as to the one puffing on the cigarette.

I used to be an OTR driver. When my company would ask me to evaluate and train a unusual driver I told management that the driver have to be a non-smoker or I wouldn't allow him in my truck, interval. It was never an issue.

You can enlighten this guy tough luck! You shouldn't have to put up beside smoking smells and risks just because he feel like it and can't bar fabrezze. Tell him to open a porthole when he smokes!There ARE dangers from it, like dangers as if you be actually smoking. Make him buy one of those ashtrays that sucks in the smoke so it doesn't be in motion everywhere. You shouldn't have to operate with this because of what he WANTS to do. It is a risk to your strength and if he won't work with you walk to someone, main department, or health department, something resembling that because since the cab is shared it may be view as a public place, and smoking was prohibited from most public places along time ago.
