abt 2.5%,it's AB blood. In the standard US population, AB negative is the rarest blood type. About 0.5% of relations have it, or roughly one surrounded by every 200 people.
In the US, the blood types break down as 45% O, 40% A, 10% B and 5% AB. Of those types, 85% are rH positive and 15% are rH distrustful.
These numbers are different in some other countries because the frequency of blood types vary in different race and populations, although these are the only prime types.

About 3% of the population is AB neg. Nowm this might nouns very low if you are worried nearly getting a blood transfusion, but take a look at the UK's National Blood Service website:http://www.blood.co.uk/visually_impaired/vi_stocklevel.html
and you will see that it is surrounded by fact the B groups (rather than AB) that are a problem keeping a clad stock of.
AB blood group people tend to be regular donors. B group are usually not donors, but still involve blood transfusions, hence there's a problem keeping stock level up! (There are various social and national reasons for this, which the NBS is trying thoroughly hard to concord with, and modify attitudes towards donating blood).
