How do you know for sure if you pulled a muscle?


Hi, well I have a soccer game in the region of 11am today I my left calf feel tight but it didn't really bother me.
but my best friend and I just go for a run about a hour and a partially ago and now my calf is cramping really discouraging, it's tight and it's sending a shooting pain up my leg. Usually after I run I kinda hurt, but it go away after like 10 min..but it's still kinda hurting. I took a tylonol, but it hasn't help and I'm kinda limping...and I don't want to ask my mom b/c she'll freak out and rush me to the ER.we just don't want to do that right immediately. So, did i pull it? and what can I do to be paid this pain improve off?

You can't tell for absolute. That's why we have doctors. Your mother would be pretty correct to take to the ER.
