I had radial director replacement surgery in 2004 and I am immediately experiencing joint "locking", stiffness, and discomfort (yes 3 years latter!). I just read online that you are not supposed to lift up over 5# with the injured arm after surgery. I never hear this, is this true, is this true forever? Is there anyone out nearby that has an answer? Anyone enjoy the same problem?

I broke my radial head final may, but didn't need a communal replacement. I was told that these injuries regularly lead to similar problems. After my injury I be unable to straighten my arm and have a similar problem with locking of the reciprocal. I had several months of physiotherapy and it help a lot. The arm fully straightens in a minute but I still get the locking problem. Perhaps obtain some physio to see if that helps.
