None of the pencil 'lead' is still surrounded by my finger, but I did get a exceedingly small "tattoo" from the puncture. I think I've have a tetanus shot within the later ten to eleven years, but I can't remember. So.. can you get tetanus from a pencil head, and should I seek any medical attention?

First of all, the pencil is predictable made of graphite, not lead. Secondly, no it is unlikely unless your wound is rather deep that you will hold any medical issues. Finally, you should expect to have that dupe for a long time - possibly forever. It is called a "tramatic tattoo." My son get "poked" in the cheek five years ago (he be 3) and he still has a obscurity mark within. I did take him to the doctor & he be not concerned, but said that it could only be removed surgically, but he would not do it until he be much older (it's close to his eye & little boys wiggle). When he is a youngster, we'll see if it bothers him. Keep an eye on it, put a little neosporin on it, but it shouldn't be an issue unless it appears inflammed or infected.

would be more worried almost what kind of microbes could
have be present on the tip. People have get tetanus from
