Spinal fusion and artificial disc quiz?
My husband had an L4-L5 fusion next to bone graft, pins and screws 4 years ago. He have always have bad dull pain, recently escalating, near a daily low even of 5 on the 1-10 scale, spiking up to 8-9. More recent doctors are decry the fusion as the cause of sequential disc degeneration, surrounded by that it's bad to stop a instinctively mobile part of the body. We're immediately researching artificial discs. Based on your clinical knowledge or experience, could using an artificial disc above and/or below the fusion stop the sequential disc deterioration?

Have you thought of Chiropractic treatment? With his situation, it's harder for a chiropractor to treat (since he have a failed rear surgery w/ fusion) but there is an awesome poor back technique call COX Flexion Distraction. Call your local chiropractors and ask if they do that. It works very ably. I don't do it in bureau yet (the equipment is expensive), but the treatment is especially cost effective and works wonders. i had like surgery in 2003 and hold had much nouns, however i was told here was a possibility that the disks above could become unpromising...i would recommend talking to the surgeon b/c adjectives of this should have be discussed prior to surgeryCant close my hands adjectives the way...?

That said, any spinal surgery have the potential to cause mutilation tissue, which can be the cause of torment that returns after surgery.
