Where can I find EMT-B trauma/medical narrative patient scenario I can study?
Thank you
Answers: When I studied for my state test my friends and I took anything popped into our heads and run with it, added complex oddity that only sadistic intructors would slip in, etc. We still do from time to time to stay resting on things.
Take a simple textbook case resembling anaphylaxis, let them run through it. Add something to it, see if they arrest it. if not, you win to use the harrowing "congratulations, you just kill your patient" line. When I be doing a run through I had verbalized checking for an expiration date on an epi-auto injector but vague checking for color and such. My partner told me afterward that the epi was wan and solidified. Things like that are what they'll try to procure you on.
There's a site that has a bunch of senarios, hasn't be updated in ages, but it's worth checking out:

You can come up with anything. When I took my registry (I'm an intermediate I/85), my trauma assessment be a GSW to the chest and neck.
I own been a "patient" for the registry 3 times and the concluding time I did it, they made me up to be a fall from distance from the ground, with mouth, chest, pelvic and forearm injuries. It be a lot of fun.
Let's see...you could do an MVC, a spill out, a fight, a "man down"...nearby are so many to choose from.
Do you ever keep watch on ER? Pick something from a show like that. Let your imagination step.
Just remember the cardinal rule of EMS...SCENE SAFETY. Never forget about that.
Does getting REALLY REALLY drunk give support to you stop smoking?
Check with the Instructors within your area. They hold this stuff in their C.E. Classes.
