Water retention or sprained ankle?

I am 6 months pregnant and today my left ankle is amazingly swollen and tender. My right ankle is normal. i've experienced wet retention before within my ankles, but i don't think this is what's going on w/ my departed ankle. About 2 or 3 weeks ago i noticed it hurt to touch the inside of my foot and it be swollen. The swelling and the pain have gotten a little better, except for today. i've never have a sprained ankle, but it seems to be what's going on near my left ankle.
So my quiz is.. do i need to see the doctor for a sprained ankle since they will more than imagined tell me to of late rest and wrap it with ace plaster or is a sprained ankle more seriousl than what i'm thinking it is? thanks!

With you being pregnant, I wouldn't risk it. If your ankle is that swollen from a sprain you would enjoy known it when you did it. What if it isn't a sprained ankle? As for dampen retention, usually when you are pregnant both of your ankles will swell not just one. Give your doctor a hail as and see what he or she suggests. Let him/her decide whether it might be key enough to be see. You never can be too careful when you are pregnant.

You need to angle your leg. Sit on a recliner if you have one. Put some rime on your ankle. The swelling should go down.

How long after a ruptured achilles, once surrounded by regular shoes before the shuffle and heel pain are gone?

Based on what you hold said, it sounds as though you have categorically sprained your ankle somehow. Especially since you only enjoy pain and swelling in the departed ankle, and not the right. Your slight increase in weight from the pregnancy is one and only aggravating the situation even more. You need to rest that foot as much as possible, and wrap it surrounded by an Ace Bandage to help next to the swelling. Soak it for 30 minutes at the end of respectively day within warm hose and Epsom Salt... this will also aid with the discomfort and swelling. You are correct, a doctor is not necessary to treat a sprained ankle, but if it seem to be getting worse instead of better over the next couple of days, you are going to want to bring back a pair of crutches to use for nearly a week to keep ALL shipment off of that foot and allow it to alleviate properly. Good luck!!
