Can you have sprained knees, but the pain comes from bringing up the rear?

I've been excercising more than lately, and around a week ago i tried run/walking instead of just walking. I feel fine during and after, but the next sunshine & throughout last week i kept sensation slight pain around my knees, and it seemed to be worse rear behind my knees, and down into the calf area. Now, a full week after the running, the muscles down my knee and down into my calf hurt almost everytime i move them. It's not impossible pain, but it have become progressively worse. What should I do? I am very worried because i don't want to be in motion to the doctor.

I would skulk it out...if you didn't fall, you probably didn't sprain anything. Lay sour the running and have your calves massage. The pain down the knee is probably coming from where on earth the muscle (calf; aka gastrocnemeus) attaches. You can't rule out sprain/strain, so if this doesn't get much beter - or if it get worse, see your doctor soon.

Is it worse to stand? Is the pain sharp or stabbing? Or is the stomach-ache just dull / achy and diffuse?

PS: Nothing "ACL" scream out ... so the previous person must know something I don't, and that's unlikely. on the following association, you're looking at a knee from the front. Where it say, "Cruciate Ligament" ... it's actually closer to "Anterior Cruciate Ligament" (aka ACL). Is that where on earth your pain is? And if so, is it a sharp torment?
