I've tried NEARLY ALL the TRIPTANS and preventative medicines, they dont work. Even imitrex doesnt work.Even if they are not chemically migraines, but cluster headahces, i still procure migraine symptoms. The fiorinal works about 85% of the time when taken as prescribed, and I never want to take more than it say because my doctor told me not to. However, the other fifteen percent of the time the migraines are so bad (usually a strong vomiting outlook with dizziness, sensitivity to pale and noise and extreme pain). This doesnt ensue very recurrently, but I was wondering if anything is prescribed as a second procession medicine for such occasion. I looked online and found that srtronger medicines exist but they are incredibly controlled. Is it unheard of for a migraineur to get an Rx to something resembling Dilaudid or Demerol? Should I consider asking my doctor? I don't want him to think unsuccessfully of me so I am asking on the forum first. Thanks so much for your inputs.

If you get unpromising migranes like me consequently drinking lots of water doesnt comfort.

You should go to your doctor, dont have a feeling ashamed, and tell him everything you a short time ago wrote here. Even he's grade A he'll enjoy another treatment.

I personally dont approaching to take drugs for my headache and migranes, I just move about to sleep, or turn off adjectives the lights and listen to some light music. It doesn't cure it but it helps.

As a party that has suffered from migraines since age 3 and tried ever migraine drug particular to man. I can tell you that the best preventative for me be Trileptal. If they are really bad BOTOX works wonders for getting rid of migraines. I hold Hemiplegic( complicated migraines) I can't take any form of triptans. Trileptal have been my duration savers. The botox is amazing and if you hold good insurance alot of them will cover it. Now I am trying a current med for something else called Lyrica but one of the side-effects is supposed to be nouns of pain and no migarines.

Have you tried Duradrin? A lot of patients at my pharmacy use this medication for their migraine headaches. There is diverse agents to try, so just maintain working with your doctor to find the right one. Demerol, although powerful, have a very toxic metabolite that confines its use to less than 48 hours, and not an agent to verbs chronically. As far as Hydromorphone goes (Dilaudid) i.e. a C-II medication with a strong potential for ill-treat, so it is not typically used chronically as well. I would suggest trying a few other meds previously giving up all hope!
