My one fingernail freakin' hurts approaching crazy!!! Why?
without seeing your xrays to determine how stable the fracture is (the angulation and displacement), i can single guess from what you inferred that they'll put you in a PTB (patellar tendon bearing) type next week (at 6 weeks after your injury), it is a shorter make that stops at your knee which will allow you to put weightiness on your leg yet provide plenty of stability. you may call for to have this shape for another 2-4 weeks while you advance your bulk bearing.your fracture may not necessarily be "non-displaced" (as mentioned by susan s previously); as long as the tibia is surrounded by appropriate alignment (relatively straight), not significantly displaced (still has perfect bone to bone contact for healing), and has not shortened too much, it can be treated surrounded by a cast. fibula is normally ignored as it is now and then an issue. it is true, as stated by mistify above, that this area 1/3 opening up from your ankle has a reputation of not medicinal well because of blood supply and deficit of soft tissue/muscle coverage. however, in a natural young mature non smoker (hopefully), it shouldn't be much of an issue.
bottom line, it should be soon formerly you should be able to put consignment on it; although it also depends on the characteristic of your unusual fracture, the comfort level of the character treating your, and radiographic appearance/evidence of healing. and it will be a while back you can walk "normally" because of the stiffness (in the type for so long), weakness, and other issues.
flawless luck
My guess would be something like 6 weeks, but only beside gradually increasing bulk bearing and movement. Go by what your doctor says. You be lucky that your fractures were non-displaced.
How can we put together poverty to be a pass work contained by Africa?
You are very lucky...this is an nouns of bone noctorious for non-union and people may spend 3-6 months toothless and non-weight bearing. If you enjoy already shown clinical healing on an x-ray, I picture you'll begin some progressive shipment bearing within the next 2-4 weeks.Good luck!
