What is the rationale of this?

I have have a pain lately within the area above my not here ear. It is like a snake spasm and it lasts going on for ten minutes. Then I get a sharp stabbing similar to pain surrounded by the area right underneath my ear, like where on earth your ear connects to your head...on the bottom within the back...and that last for about a minute and after my ear gets REALLY itchy inside and it drives me insane!!

What could this be? I've have it for about a week.

If you've had a cold or suffer from seasonal allergies it could be your ears draining. Which can be sore at times. Since the pain comes and go. Under the back of your ear, could be the lymph nodes, swollen or infected.
