Actually they aren't call killer bees because a single bee can decimate you...They are called slayer bees because of how aggressive the whole colony act.. A regular honey bee will not usually bother you but killer bees will swarm, attack, and not stop attacking.

Africanized Honey Bees (AHB) -- also called "Africanized bees" or "murderer bees" -- are descendants of southern African bees imported contained by 1956 by Brazilian scientists attempting to breed a honey bee better adapted to the South American tropics. When some of these bees escaped quarantine in 1957, they began breeding near local Brazilian honey bees, quickly multiplying and extended their collection throughout South and Central America at a rate greater than 200 miles per year. In the past decade, AHB begin invading North America.
Africanized bees acquired the entitle "killer bees" because they will viciously attack general public and animals who unwittingly stray into their territory, commonly resulting in serious injury or death.
It is surplus to requirements to disturb the hive itself to initiate an AHB attack. In fact, Africanized bees own been know to respond viciously to mundane occurrence, including noises or even vibrations from vehicle, equipment and pedestrians.
Though their venom is no more potent than home-grown honey bees, Africanized bees attack in far greater numbers and pursue perceived enemy for greater distances. Once disturbed, colonies may remain agitated for 24 hours, attacking people and animals inside a range of a quarter mile from the hive.
Bee Invasion?
Africanized bees proliferate because they are smaller quantity discriminating in their choice of nests than native bees, utilizing a choice of natural and man-made objects , including hollow trees, walls, porches, sheds, attics, utility boxes, debris containers and abandoned vehicle. They also tend to swarm more often than other honey bees.
The first swarm of Africanized bees be detected in the U.S. surrounded by October, 1990 when they were capture in a bait trap at the border town of Hidalgo, Texas. AHB colonies were first reported within Arizona and New Mexico in 1993 and within California in October, 1994. Within a year, more than 8,000 square miles of Imperial, Riverside and northeastern San Diego counties be declared officially colonized by Africanized Bees.
To date, more than 100 counties contained by Texas, 6 in New Mexico, 14 surrounded by Arizona, 1 in Nevada, and 3 counties within California have reported Africanized honey bees. AHB verbs the northward expansion of their territories by swarming, the process by which bee colonies replicate.
In May of 1991, Jesus Diaz become the first person to be attacked by AHB within the U.S. while mowing a lawn contained by the border city of Brownsville, Texas. Diaz suffered 18 stings and was treated at a local hospital.
On July 15, 1993, 82-year-old Lino Lopez become the first person to die within the U.S. from Africanized honey bee stings. He was stung more than 40 times while trying to remove a colony from a wall in an cast off building on his ranch fundamental Harlingen, Texas.
Arizona's first human fatality from Africanized Bees occurred surrounded by October, 1993 when 88-year-old Apache Junction woman disturbed a large Africanized honey bee colony contained by an abandoned building on her property and be stung numerous times.
Although such fatalities are alarming, Africanized Bees probably present the greatest danger within the U.S. to American beekeeping and American agriculture in general. AHBs normally enter European colonies to mingle and mate with them. Such mate results in more hybrid bees have African genes and tendencies dominating over European ones. An entire colony may suddenly filch on aggressive and short-tempered behavior.
Bee Safety
The best safety proposal is to avoid an encounter with cold Africanized Bees. Be alert for danger. Remember that AHB sting to save from harm their colony, so be on the look out for honey bee swarms and colonies.
Be alert for bees coming in and out of an opening such as a crack within a wall, or the hole in a utility box.
Listen for the hum of an moving bee colony.
Look for bees in holes surrounded by the ground, holes in trees or cacti, and within sheds.
Be extra careful when moving second-hand goods that has be lying around.
Be alert for bees that are acting strangely. Quite often bees will display some preliminary precautionary behavior before going into a full-fledged attack.
When you are outdoors, in a rural nouns, a park or wilderness reserve, be aware of your surroundings and hold on to an eye out for bees the way you would keep watch on out for snakes and other natural danger.
Don't panic at the verbs of a few bees foraging in the flowers. Bees are generally awfully docile as they go going on for their normal deeds.
Bee Prepared
As the number of Africanized bee colonies increases in an area, so, too, does the possibility of human and animal encounters next to them. Serious human injury can be avoided if the habits of Africanized bees are academic and precautions taken.
Wear light-colored clothing. Bees tend to attack dark things. Dark clothing, pitch-black hair, any point dark within color could draw the animus of AHB.
Bees are sensitive to odors, both pleasant and unpleasant. The smell of newly cut grass have been shown to disturb honey bees. Avoid wearing floral or citrus aftershaves or perfume.
Check your house and courtyard at least once a month to see if nearby are any signs of bees taking up residence. If you do find a swarm or colony, leave it be and hold family and pets away. Find a pest control company or a local beekeeper to solve the problem.
To back prevent honey bees from building a colony in your house or yard, crawl all cracks and crevices contained by walls with steel wool and caulk. Remove piles of junk, honey bees will nest in an outmoded soda can or an overturned flower pot. Fill holes in the ground.
Bee Attack

The best method of escaping a bee attack is to cover your head and run for shelter.
Any covering for your body, especially for your person in charge and face, will assist you escape. A small handkerchief or mosquito web device that fits over the head could slickly be carried in a pocket.
If you do not enjoy these, grab a blanket, coat, towel, anything that will make a contribution you momentary relief while you look for an avenue of escape. If you own nothing else, verbs your shirt up over your face. The stings you may return with on your chest and abdomen are far smaller quantity serious than those to the facial area.
Try to find shelter as soon as possible. Take retreat in a house, tent or a sports car with the window and doors closed.
DO NOT JUMP INTO WATER! Bees will wait for you to come up for nouns.
Once you are away from the bees, evaluate the situation. If you have be stung more than 15 times, or if you are having any symptoms except local pain and swelling, desire medical attention immediately.
If you see someone else one stung or think others are surrounded by danger, beckon 911 immediately.

I get on your site to learn more give or take a few Killer Bees. This past Saturday, Oct. 14, I be quail hunting 30 miles north of Wickenburg, Arizona with my 12 year older grandson.
One bee attacked my left ear. I swatted it away not even thinking it be a bee. Two steps later we be swarmed by hundreds of bees. We ran to my truck which be about 100 yard away and got into the truck near about 200 bees. I dropped my key outside the truck and could not start the truck. We were trapped inside war for our lives killing bees. This go on for about 30 minutes and we be near nouns from the heat and the stings.
A man saw our fix and bailed out of his truck, scooped up my key, I opened the door letting in another 50 to 75 bees. Got the truck started and started to the hospital in Wickenburg. I am 61 and I did not devise I was going to sort it and my grandson was contained by shock. We got treated within the emergency room. I was severely short of breath and did not think I would manufacture it. They picked the bee stingers out with tweezers and I get very unwell shortly thereafter. Got some oxygen on and recovered pretty quickly.
They took 67 stingers out of my arms and obverse, unknown amount of stings on my head. My grandson have 47 stings not counting his head. I drove us home OK but still touch a little shaky today.
I enjoy never seen an animal or insect attack near such determination to kill its prey. I hold hunted all of my enthusiasm in the desert and high-ranking country and still do not believe what happened to us. We almost died out within. Pass this on to anyone who doubts how dangerous these bees are.

How do hick-ups start, how do I get hold of rid of them?
How can anyone top that answer...Reply above me.Great job
Which antidote would enjoy a similar effect if vinegar or citrus juice be not available?
Do you mean a slaughterer of a bee,as in big and wacky at you?
Were you just stung?
If that's the overnight case, then the instant first aid,
home-style, is a liberal application
of meat tenderizer (can the jokes folks,
even the "seasoned" variety works),
followed by ice, 20 minutes on,
20 minutes sour (repeat), to decrease
the affects of that area of your body
screaming at you next to:
The little dot turning red, round, raised,
both sore and itchy, spreading outward
in a circle, getting bigger and bigger,
and bigger still when you scratch at
the borders of the red (as it hurts too
much to scrape the middle of it),
finally stopping the spread, but
remaining a whiny, itchy spot,
for days, slowly getting better
over the course of about a week.
If this is what you intended, then you
must permit someone else know,
so that person can check on you,
freshly in covering you are very allergic
to the sting of a bee, and not yet
aware of how serious this could
be for you.
I hope it be just a homework
