My eye is dialted, is it compulsory to wear sunglasses or not?

a few months ago my eye got dilated due to injury and its still dialted. i go to the doctor about it and she said if it didnt budge back to commonplace in a spell of time it was supposed to stay close to this forever. i'm going to go get it checked out again in a few days but in the intervening time i might be outside a lot, would it impose any damage to it if i didnt wear sunglasses?

I'm not an expert but I think the sun could harm your eye. Since more light is mortal let surrounded by than normal, you should wear sunglasses.
