why is it that after i have a hard bowel movement (the feces is unyielding and dark in color), when i wipe near is a yellow slime but its not the color of the feces?
Answer: It is probably mucous. It can be a sign of Ulcerative colitis or Chrones disease.
Colitis is the better of the two, in that it is slightly smaller quantity serious.
You should go to a doctor, they will probably start you on Asacol or sulphasalizine, light anti-inflammatories. If it is colitis anyway.
I enjoy it, and though it is a chronic condition, meaning it can reccur throughout your whole vivacity, I have only have 1 bad episode in my hasty teens, and a tiny flair up for 1 week later in existence.
They don't know the cause, but I am sure mine was related to stress. Try and relax if near is any crap going on in your life.
Ironically, smoking is shown to minister to this condition, one of the VERY few that smoking can actually treat. I AM NOT RECOMMENDING YOU DO THIS. I just mention it as a curiousity..

Best of Luck I'm sure the yellow slime is only mucous meant to lubricate the bowel. your bigger concern is the color and hardness of the stool.
Instead of worrying give or take a few all kinds of medical conditions, simply try a glorious fiber diet which will produce a softer stool requiring less strain to evacuate..
