Abdominal hernia...?

I can feel something moving in the right side of my belly. The other day I was lay on my left side and when I went to get hold of up something shifted and I couldn't move I was in so much headache. A few minutes later I felt anything it was slide back into place. My dad suggested it could be an abdominal hernia. Are those the symptoms? I don't bring it often, but when I do it hurts a lot. What are the surgeries approaching to fix them? Do they leave big scars?

Answer:    I have this it isnt that big of a deal but as you said they can cause for a while bit of pain to a lot of anguish. Mostly when i had it, it could pop in and out. One time it would be there and then it wouldnt be. When it get more advanced it usually stays popped out. (its like a bubble in your skin.)

The most adjectives way of getting ahernia is when you pick up something heavy it will basis stress and strain in that area eventually governing to this. At least thats how the doctors explained it to an 10 yr old.)

The surgery is not bleak at all. They injected the sleeping stuff since i was younger and i dream up i made it to 8 on the countdown. haha. It was fast and dull pain free.

My surgeon was good, she put the blemish in a natural crease surrounded by my skin so you cant tell its there unless you verbs the skin. Ive had my surgery about 8 years ago and within is alittle toughness (scar tissue) around the scar but it doesnt prevent me from doing anything.

I included a link that should answer any other question you may have. Good Luck!.
First, understand what a hernia is. A hernia occur when there is a tear surrounded by the muscles of your abdominal wall. Frequently (but not always) the tear occurs when you raise something heavy - the "stress" on the muscles causes the hole.
An abodominal hernia can be minor and just something to watch. However, if it s throbbing as you describe - it could be very serious. Sometimes, the contents of your abdoment start to come out through the tear (think your intestines and so forth) This can grounds the blood supply to get cut off and it can become a enthusiasm threatening emergency (gangrene/infection, etc.) (also known as a 'strangulated hernia'.)
Often, you can see the protrusion (a "lump") when you move a certain passageway or cough. The surgery to repair a hernia is usually quick and uncomplicated unless it becomes strangulated. The incision size will depend on the size of the gash to be repaired.
You would be very wise to see a doctor give or take a few this, as you want to prevent complications, and don't want it to get worse.
